Cleaning your gutters can be a labor-intensive project. It requires ladders, buckets, gloves, and having to manually remove yucky debris by hand. But did you know that there is a much faster and easier way to do this chore? And that is by means of a pressure washer. A pressure washer with a gutter cleaning attachment to be specific. Relocate the outdoor furniture away from the house and gutters. Be sure to remove any vegetation and cover flowers that are close to the gutters. Make a clear pathway where you can walk through during the cleaning.
Put on safety glasses to prevent dirty water and debris from getting into your eyes.
Attach the pressure washer hose to an extendable wand. This way you will be able to reach the gutters without having to get out the ladder.
At the end of the extension wand, attach the gutter cleaning tool. The most common one is the one that is bent into a curve, allowing the nozzle to reach inside the gutters.
Still using your pressure washer, rinse the gutters. Begin with the downspout so that the water clears all the debris held in it. After this, you may work on the rest of the gutters.
Wash the gutters using a detergent to loosen up dirt and debris.
Using ordinary water, rinse the detergent off. After you have removed all the debris and any blockages, the detergent will easily be rinsed away.
Finally, clean off all the dirt that has come down to the ground.
